With Ess

With Ess is the project of artist and vocalist Esther McTigue. Her selections move fluidly across house, breakbeat and dub techno. With a focus on depth and movement, her sets are tactile and made to be felt.

Since relocating to Naarm, With Ess has become a regular presence across the local selector circuit, playing Revolver Upstairs, Miscellania and Angel Music Bar, alongside doofs, parties and intimate spaces. She has supported and shared lineups with Andy Garvey, Claire O’Brien, Cousin, Edd Fisher, Fantastic Man, Guy Contact, Hannah D, Hasvat Informant, Lavern and Sleep D.

Away from the booth, Ess works as label coordinator at Gallery Recordings and is the founder of OAL (Of Angels and Legends), bringing the same focus on curation and community to her work beyond DJing. Across each of these projects, her approach remains grounded in artistic discernment, curiosity and a deep connection to sound.
